Edmund and Judith (Moran) Conlin opened The Fixit Shoppe in 1977. The first location was in the lobby of the old Irving Theater at 25 South Main Street, Carbondale, PA. In 1981, they purchased the property at 73 Cottage Street, Carbondale, and this is where we remain. We continue to serve customers in Lackawanna County and all surrounding communities. 

We are an Authorized Retailer for many brands of vacuums and shampooers, which we also repair.  We are a Warranty Center for some brands, such as Simplicity, CleanMax, Oreck, Bissell, Sanitaire, and Rug Doctor. We carry vacuum bags, filters, and belts for the most popular brands. We repair lamps, some power tools, and Kitchenaid mixers.

Our prices are reasonable and our customer service is excellent. We do our best to be helpful to our customers and most importantly, we service what we sell!
